How to get Bloodfiend’s Arm in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

The Bloodfiend’s Arm is one of the best DLC weapons added to Elden Ring in the Shadow of the Erdtree. It’s capable of absolutely demolishing certain bosses, including the infamously difficult final boss of the expansion.

In this Shadow of the Erdtree guide, I’ll walk you through how to get the Bloodfiend’s Arm weapon, why you want it, and how to get to Prospect Town early on in your adventure so you can farm it.

The Bloodfiend’s Arm is classified as a Colossal Weapon, and you can get one from any Bloodfiend enemy. You can find these guys in a few different places in Gravesite Plain and the Ancient Ruins of Ruah regions, but the easiest place to farm them is Prospect Town, early on in the game.

In the central ruins of Prospect Town, climb up almost to the very top, where you’ll find a tower and a treasure chest. Just before you get there, at the foot of the steps for the tower, you’ll find what I’ll call a gaggle of Bloodfiends. Take these guys out before they clobber you and you’ll have a high chance of getting the Bloodfiend’s Arm.

If you don’t get the drop, simply return to the Cliffroad Terminus Site of Grace, rest, and return to slay the gaggle again.

How to get to Prospect Town in Elden Ring

Getting to Prospect Town is straightforward, but very easy to miss.

Just outside of Belurat castle in Gravesite Plain, you’ll find the Main Gate Cross Site of Grace, where you first meet Sir Ansbach. From that site of grace, go south to the mountain wall but not through the stone gate. You’ll find a path of jagged rocks leading up into the mountains. Take this path, kill some rats, and you’ll eventually find yourself at the Cliffroad Terminus Site of Grace, which is right in front of Prospect Town.

What does the Bloodfiend’s Arm do?

The Bloodfiend’s Arm weapon is primarily used for stacking up a ton of Bleed on enemies, which it can do very quickly. And because its Ash of War slot isn’t locked, you can replace the default one — Endure — with something like Shriek of Sorrow, Savage Lion’s Claw, or Rolling Sparks. Pair any of those with a Bleed Affinity on the weapon and you’ll be able to even the odds against some of the DLC’s hardest bosses.
